Seit 1. Januar 2019 brauchen Pflegebedürftige, deren Pflegebescheid Pflegegrad 4 oder 5 ausweist, sowie Pflegebedürftige mit dem Pflegegrad 3, wenn bei ihnen eine dauerhafte Mobilitätsbeeinträchtigung vorliegt, die auf Muster 4 ärztlich verordneten Krankenfahrten mit Taxi oder Mietwagen nicht mehr ihrer Krankenkasse zur Genehmigung vorlegen, da die Genehmigung als erteilt gilt.
Die Erleichterung gilt auch bei Verordnungen für Schwerbehinderte, deren Schwerbehindertenausweis eines der folgenden Merkzeichen enthält: „aG“ für außergewöhnliche Gehbehinderung, „Bl“ für Blindheit oder „H“ für Hilflosigkeit.

Um dies attestieren zu können möchten wir Sie bitten, uns gültige Bescheide über Pflegeeinstufung oder Schwerbehindertenausweise vorzulegen.

From 22nd to 28th May 2019 a medical student of the Oldenburg University will have her training week in our surgery.
She should have the oppertunity to exerise practical skill early in her career: Taking medical history and clinical examination.
If you do not wish to be interviewed and examined by a medical student or to have her attending your appointment, please let our receptionist know.

The risk for severe herpes zoster and stubborn postherpetic neuralgia is increased in persons beyond 60 years of age. Patients above 50 years who have
congenital or acquired immune deficiency or such with chronic diseases e.g.

• HIV-infection,
• rheumatoid arthritis,
• systemic lupus erythematodes,
• chronic inflammatory bowel condition,
• chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or bronchial asthma,
• chronic renal failure,
• diabetes mellitus, etc.

are also at higher risk for shingles and its complications.

More than 300.000 people are affected by zoster each year in Germany. Approximately 5% of those develop painful neuralgia even weeks after the recovery of the skin eruption.

Hence the Robert-Koch-Institute of Berlin advises the inocculation against shingles by an inactivated vaccine for these groups of the population. It consists of two jabs in a two months interval. Since 1st May 2019 it becomes part of the statutory health services.

From 1st April 2019 health check is eligible every 3 years. Patients who last had health screening in 2017 can further have this check-up examination in the former 2 years rota until 30th September 2019.

Commencing on 1st April 2019 new rules are applicable for health screening programme:

• New: Check-up is available to patients between 18 and 35 years of age as an one-off service free of charge
• Patients beyond 35 years are entitled to free health check every 3 years, until now every 2 years
• Adjusted accordingly to the new rules for AOK Lower Saxony insurance members above 60 years Check-up 60 plus is eligible every 3 years

Consequently for 2019 health check is due for all patients who had their last check-up in 2016 and earlier respectively for patients between 18 and 35 years.

From 19th April 2019 new measures for colon cancer prevention are applicable:

• Men above 50 years of age are eligible for preventive coloscopy, up to now above 55 years, due to higher risk of colon cancer than women.
• Women are entitled to preventive coloscopy from the age of 55 years further on.

Thereafter a new coloscopy is due after 9 calendar years for both groups.

The entitlement to annual faecal occult blood test – iFOBT – remains unchanged for both sexes from the age of 50 and biennial from 55.

Also new, members of the statutory health insurance will receive written invitation to colon cancer program regularly fron July 2019.

From 29th March 2019 female members of the statutory health insurance are entitled to contraceptive devices on prescription up to 22nd birthday. Until then it was only possible up to 20th birthday.

Women who are older then the age limit have to pay for the devices themselves.
